Occupation: Full Time Marketing Writer
I have a quirky sense of humor (and love of robots, comic books, and video games) that belies my outward "femininity" or professional demeanor. I adore writing of all kinds, and I'm always seeking more projects. As a full time marketing writer, ghost writer for three blogs, and with my own dozen or so personal website projects you'd think my roster would be full. It's not, I always need more. My proclivity for tea gives me my great powers.
Why I'm Good at Creating Website Content
For my last freelance writing project my client asked me to write, in 450 words, why I would be good at creating website content. I was instructed to be wordy. The result is a great introduction to my career as a writer.
My reason for writing is less complex than a greater urgency, a compulsion or a desire to act. I write because it's a natural bodily function, as innate as breathing. It's a natural, organic process that only a frontal lobotomy could cure. Subconsciously I narrate the day, "She drove to work, bewildered, tired, and erratically swerving. She vowed to never pull an all-nighter writing tutorials again!" I narrate the now, "She types on the keyboard, the letters 'A','S','E','O','C','N', and 'M' are faded past the point of recognition from repeated key strokes." I let my surroundings provide cues and story ideas, like the five-year-old at the comic book store who said, "...the chemical vortex that sucks everything into its mouth!" referencing Unicron the Transformer. That's a gem. As a born, swift writer, I was naturally drawn to writing website content.
I found my ideal outlet at age eleven. Using the word processors on dated Macintosh computers at school never lost its appeal, but what writer can resist subjecting the World Wide Web to their inane and constant borage of manic ideas? I started with one website that split into two not unlike a eukaryotic cell creates two sister cells with mitosis. By high school I was writing for a dozen different websites and I couldn't stop. Even now- professionally ghost writing a marketing blog, writing website content, SEO content for various websites, marketing pieces, tutorials, training manuals, corporate e-mails, memos, and maintaining a handful of personal websites, I fill entire notebooks with words, thoughts, and ideas. I want to create ten more personal websites before the year is up, yet I still need more. I'm addicted to writing.
This is where you come in. I'm in desperate need of an outlet; I'm overflowing with an abundant supply of ideas for website content. I'm filling notepads and word documents at an alarming rate without enough sources to benefit from well-written website content that can easily be optimized, galvanized, cut, slashed, and pasted to suit any corporate or personal needs. As an eclectic individual I desire a wide variety of writing opportunities from SEO and Marketing writing to parody bits with tongue planted firmly in cheek.
Because creating your own websites is a skill that involves more than writing alone, I'm also a graphic and web designer. Websites alone won't fill the husk of artistic inspiration, thus I dabble in photography, and even painting and illustration. The result is a writer than can offer support with photography, design, and website creation, a rounded suite and a dynamo of ambitious energy. I will be your entire suite of website writing and artistic needs, working at lightening speed to please.
What more do you need?
